parenthood 101

yesterday my sweet Nixon babe had a little "cough", I didn't really think too much about it but by last night the poor thing was miserable. couldn't breathe because of his sad cough & stuffy nose- I tried the "booger bulb" he absolutely hates that thing, I even tried getting them out with my own finger (ya I know kinda gross- but if it helps him breathe...I'm doing it). I gave him his nightly feeding and down he went. 2 hours later- coughing and crying and the saddest cry in the world. poor little babe was up every few hours because his cough was hurting and kept waking him up. so why am I telling you this--- because what I originally planned to post is not this. but life happens and baby snuggles, baths, and love is what I'm consumed with today.

so today I'm posting this article I just came across- 10 true things about the first year of parenthood.

  1. things that are worthwhile in life are never easy! raising babies is the hardest, but most cherished thing i have ever had the opportunity to do in my life! take in all the sweetest moments, the other not so sweet ones will fade away. you are developing the closest relationships you will ever know, and those moments will live in your heart forever. i'm so proud to be your momma and watch you being the best mommy ever! i'm over here patting my own back haha! xoxo

  2. There is always another day for a post. Enjoy the snuggles, even sick ones, because they grow so fast! I hope your babe gets well soon!
