I'm freakin out just a little because this is the time of year that starts to just wizz by quicker than ever. septemeber is a pretty busy month, then we run into october + halloween, thanksgiving, christmas...and then it's the new year!

ok, i may be overreacting just a bit--- but hold on tight, i promise it will fly by for us all.

today's color is BURGUNDY. i decided to showcase a special fashion feature in honor of NYFW! maybe one day I'll actually be able to attend...wouldn't that be amazing.

friday diy: ikea stool makeover

for friday diy i found this super cute idea from audrey from this little street blog. she had the brilliant idea of personalizing these ikea stools by adding paint + wallpaper

aren't they just adorable!! you could use these for just a stepping stool in their bedroom or bathroom, or you could also use as a bedside table, just add a little lamp on top!

here is a list of supplies needed:

diy wood pallet arrow

you guys, since I missed posting a friday diy last week (due to posting all the best labor day weekend deals for you) i decided to post one by liz from love grows wild blog today. this is something i want to make + put in my home, like NOW. 

i absolutely love how she added the arrow to her family room wall gallery, it would also be so adorable in your baby's nursery or tweens bedroom! i am really digging the natural wood color but with some paint or a funky pattern...the possibilities are endless here!

here are the supplies you will need:

wood pallet

miter saw

wood glue

clamps

screws

drill

sawtooth hangers (or whatever you want to use to hang it to the wall)

ahh i sure love summer, the sun + warm weather, but i do have to say i am feeling so ready and excited for fall.

there is just something about wearing jeans + a tee or shorts with a sweater, as the leaves start to change and fall off the trees, football games starting up, soup brewin' in the crock pot--- fall is sort of magical.
