friday diy: dream catcher...halloween edition

hey guys, happy FRIYAY!

i am so excited for a few days to relax and kick back. tonight i am watching a few of my nephews/niece's so we thought it might be fun to do a halloween craft.

i found this super cute idea, featured on tater tots and jello by holly(my sisters suitcase)

here are the supplies you will need:

12″ wooden embroidery hoop

black acrylic craft paint

spiderweb (from the dollar store)

various black trimmings

black craft feathers (optional)

i am a little worried about finding the spiderweb from the dollar store, because maybe mine doesn't have it but if it doesn't, i bet we could make our own web out of black sting/yarn-- although it would take a lot more time (so lets just hope all dollar stores carry the web ;))

wallpaper: frame it.

today i am talking about something most people probably don't think to do to wallpaper....frame it.

i love this idea, because first of all wallpaper can be pretty pricey. meaning, needing enough to cover an entire wall or two can cost you hundreds of dollars. second-- i have a tendency to want to change things up ever so often and wallpaper seems a little permanent to me. if you put it in a frame you can always switch it out or take away to frame completely or whatever you want!

tuesday huesday: leopard

happy tuesday babes!!!

today i want to share one of my favorite patterns, that actually has transitioned into a neutral these days... LEOPARD PRINT.

do you know anyone who doesn't love a little leopard?

i totally remember back to like 5 years ago when i was in college and everyone had to have a "theme" to their bedding or entire bedroom for that matter and i remember seeing a girls room who had leopard EVERYTHING. from her bedding to pillows to rug on the floor to mirror on the wall-- all leopard. 

okay yuck.

too much!!! if you want to sneak some leopard into your home, do it tastefully. as in a pillow on your bed or a throw on your sofa. maybe a little rug in your bathroom.

and it is one of my absolute go-to's in fashion. i love a good leopard flat or pump, scarf, sweater + more but remember as i said before--- you don't have to wear everything you own that is in that pattern at once. in fact, please don't :) another pro to leopard is it doesn't discriminate against age. a newborn baby all the way up to a 98 year old grandma can look just as good rockin' a leopard sweater.

fall baking...with pumpkin

okay you guys, the time has come. it is officially fall (and feeling like fall) and here comes the best part---- pumpkin everything.

i seriously can't get enough pumpkin flavored/smelling things. i took a gander on pinterest this morning and found some DELICIOUS recipes that i will be making this fall....maybe even tonight ;)
